Hi Jerry,
The pic is still the same size. It is just being scaled by the browser after download.
You need to resize the image before uploading it if you want to actually make it smaller. Use an image editing program like PaintShop or GIMP or any of the hundreds of others out there and resize it to whatever size you would like it to display before uploading it.
Jerry, I didn't mean to start something here. Just wanted to let you know that the pics in your other post are 1152x864 and are around 180k each. That's 1.8Mb for 10 and 3.6Mb for 20. Not a big deal unless you have a slow dial-up connection like mine. My 56k modem usually only connects at around 32 or 33Kbps.
If you reduce them to something like 400 width and proportional height, they will only be around 40 or 50 k each and display at close to the same size but download much faster. I don't know if image storage space is limited on this board or not, but you will also be able to get 3 or possibly 4 in the same amount of storage space.
The nice part about the big pics is if someone wants to see detail, they just view the image and see it in full size with all the details instead of having to ask if you have a bigger picture.
This image is 300x225 and 23.5k.
I really enjoyed your other post with all the pics. You did some really good work. The baskets were a great idea and it looks like they made for a really good frame.
Steve
