Math confusion

its me again i have trouble understanding these formulas you guys use i was looking at windstuffnow formulas and dont know what to do as far as multiplying devideing as such because i dont understand the symbols your using.its kind of like being dislexic i suppose example   [ohms * .6] what does the * mean? subtract multiply devide.how bout when you have 89/56 do i devide add subtract or what.im use to + - = . i need to know these things and want to learn them.im not dumb just slightly confused.thanks for any help

* means multiply, so you read "ohms * 6" like "ohms times 6"


/ means divide, so you would read "89/56" as "89 divided by 56"


Actually, the way the formulas are typed out like that, with the different symbols and all, is pretty normal for science work nowdays, especially with computers and calculators.

thanks for the help inode buddha.i thought that was it but wanted to make sure im no scientence or speller.
