Interesting. It bring up the thought which is better, the proliferation of many smaller turbines or the concentration of larger ones in better sites? I can see though that there must be a reasonable limit to size and risk aversion.

thanks for the link , yea, that is interesting .i guess it's the nature of business to maximize there returns, and the nature of engineers to build big. i think wind farms will become wide spread. for a while at least. untill more and more people realize they can make there own.

I'm beginning to believe that a balance of both will ensure that the big boys will have to play fair and realise that gouging us is not in their long term interest.

It bothers me that the europeans are leading this charge into clean energy, while we seem to be fixating on oil coal and nuclear ( at the government level for sure ).

Arnie seems to be just giving us lip service here in California about clean energy while he surrepticiously negotiates deals with Nevada and Wyoming to bring coal derived energy into our state.

More power to the europeans, someone has to lead the way!

mega is million. A 0ne with six zero's after it.

kilo is thousand. A One with three zero's after it.

Most of the homebuilt generators, like you see on here, are in the 1000 watt (1 Kilowatt) or less class.
