High Temp Wire

I am in the process of building a windmill as per Hugh's axial flow plans.  The plans call for 50' of high temperature #14 wire.  Home Depot near me had some and they are clearing it out at 10 cents per meter.

I think you want enameled magnet wire if you are looking to wind the coils.
