Kama Diesel Generators from China
« on: June 26, 2006, 05:25:40 AM »
I'm living in the Philippines and am considering buying a Kama KDE6500T Diesel Generator.

Does anybody have any experience of this brand in relation to their reliability etc.

Thanks

I cant answer your question directly,as I have no experience with that brand. I guess it would depend on how much you plan to use it? I'm not a big fan of any engine that runs at 3600 rpm. I have a 12 hp 2 cyl air cooled Lister Diesel that runs a 7.5kw gen. It runs at 1800 rpm and that is too fast for me. But we use it for running power tools etc. Depending on your needs I would look at the Listeroids coming out of India, that are 6-12 hp and run at 650-850 rpm. They will run for years and years at that speed and use minimal amount of fuel.Plus most all of them will run on vegetable oil. Good Luck.
