Hello my bestest of friends, I'll be back
« on: May 01, 2008, 07:21:26 PM »
Hello Ya'll

Glad to see when I logged in so many names of so many friends in those front page posts. Glad your all still here!

Well I had some problems ranging from family and health and odds N ends for awhile but I'm over most of that now (I think)and should be back in full swing with many of my projects both normal and odd, old and new.

I'm not online much right now, hadn't even been checking my e-mails much for awhile. Thanks to those I see now have wrote and asked where am I at.

I'll be sending out some e-mails soon, still not online or doing much still but I am getting started back up again.

Just to bring everyone up to date and answers few questions all at once in one place.

I think I got a dose of aluminum oxides somehow when sand blasting as part of the health problems. When I was doing that I was getting migrains often and could seldom stand to be near a computer at all. That is about when I left the forum I think last year, though I popped in and read stuff when I could for awhile. Yes I wore protection when blasting, but it seems even just opening the blast cabinet days after blasting and smelling the oxides would trigger a migrain. Took awhile to figure this out and get over it, so random at times could not decide what was doing it. Of course I have not been blasting anymore!

Family problems was typical marriage on the rocks stuff.

As many of you know I was planning next year to be my last year here at this place, and that's why I stopped several of my big projects over a year a ago.

WELL, my best friend locally had moved away about 4-5 years ago and we lost contact, we found each other again now recently. Last people to live on a property he owns near me really tore it up and left a major mess. I just got a long term lease on it! Great deal for both of us!

It will take a few months to make it livable I think but I'll have an auto shop with lift and grease pit, house, big store room for a shop (was once a store) and another large building plus the lower rear level of the auto shop which is like a barn itself. I should be able to build many projects here of any type once set up to work.

I have no power there right now, (no phone or internet either) and although I would like to keep it that way ( no power grid )like I did with the rock house a few years ago, I'm afraid with the large shop areas and big tools I'll have to have power turned on before long.

Currantly I am working on an alarm system which will be powered by Bruce S battery packs. I'll be using a trick he told me with the HF solar controller (old style) to keep the alarm packs charged.

Already found a good spot for the solar panels (and a couple wind gennies)!

I have to do roof repairs before installing them though.

Anyway just letting people know I am still here sometimes and I'll be doing stuff again soon.

Many thanks to everyone for all the help over the years, I not forgot any of you!

Rich I've been getting allot of use from the solar panel.

Ghurd I been using the leds, solar charge controllers, 12V CFLs ect... allot.

Bruce packs, wow I have got so much use from those for so many things, and other stuff too :) Thanks

The first gennies I fly over there will be Jerry garbogen types and Zubbly type small motor conversions.

Thanks to everyone for all the info and help over the years. I really missed the forum and friends while I not been here and looking forward to getting back once I get things rolling here and have Internet at the new place.

Good to hear from you NTL.

I wondered if you were holed up in the rock house for the winter.

Sorry to read about your misfortunes and hope things work out.

I also had to take about a year off of RE projects due to parents failing health and their departure from this life. Now it's taking care of the estates but that's not as time consuming.

If you still have some, I am interested in a couple of your 5 point hubs. I checked for them on ebay but I guess you pulled them.

hope you check back in.

Welcome back, great to see you posting again.  Congratulations on the new pad, and glad you are getting use out of that Arco panel.  12 of its brethren have been working up on my roof for quite a while, which is great for panels more than 20 years old.  BTH and I are working in Fiji for the next couple of weeks, I leave for there Sunday.  I will have to drop in on you and Bruce the next time I am down in the St. Louis area.  Rich

Send me a personal e-mail direct and I think I have some still. NO, when I left the forum I pretty much left everything even e-bay at that time, forum I am sure was last thing I left!!! I love this forum though I got for awhile where I felt I had nothing to contribute and health wise I left only because I felt had to!!

Wow, it is Fuji time again already??

I really wanted to make it this year myself but I guess I missed out already!

Let me know if you need something like a donation, I think last year I did like $100 or something.  If I had had my $$it straight earlier I would have gone too!! I really wanted to be there but too late now for me.

Let me know when you are back, Brianna says hello and when I get my new place straight I want many of my friends to come visit!!!

This of course means you too!!

Hi NTL.

Glad your back. I've just recently returned myself. We had quite a set back with the store fire.

Seems a lot of us have had some ups and downs, alot of downs?

Hope you get your source back for the curved NEOs cause I've been sending out free Garbogen stators. I've just collected to many and thought other folks could use for learning or building small gennys but they could use some of your curved NEOs.

E-mail me so I can get you out some parts also.

Welcome back budy.

Hi Jerry,

I think once I get my stuff set up I'll get some new curved neos again. I just got a new contact for them a little while back matter of fact. But being un-solicited  from my end I am a bit leary still of course. I plan to send a send by debit/credit/account type order and see what happens! If they send the neos on account all will be fine, I'll pay for them when they arrive and I see they are correct.

The other company went up on price on me awhile back so I've not ordered more from them recently.

Rich;

I'm still bummed about not being able to make the trip.

Sounds like a good plan for a get together.

While my house is upgraded with roof and insulation most of my stuff is put away. but the BBQ grills are still working.

See you after the trip

Your body does collect alu. and carries it in your blood then can deposit in the brain, but it will float thru your blood. You might go and give blood your body will replace it with new blood. They also do that with people that have had carbon monxide pisoning or othe toxins. It can't hurt. Just some ideas.

Yep still here.

Minor set back, slipped a disk last Sunday moving a heavy tool box. Got that fixed today (I hope) and Monday should be working on stuff again.

I'm spending nearly all my time at the other place now, still have to figure out a telephone and internet for there.
