With 116MW in Portugal, no wonder we can't get PVs!

At least there's somewhere in the world that understands that the oil supply won't last forever.

You can bet the economy of scale has brought the price of panels right down there, especially as Siemens are going to build a factory to make them onsite. Hmm, I wonder if they'll have any that just fail quality control, only make 800 kW instead of a meg? If it's industrial you can bet they'll scrap em. Shame you'll never find that on Ebay. lol

"The world's largest solar power station" is not entirely accurate.

Largest PV power station would be more correct.

The largest solar plant in the world is a group of 9 solar thermal units in Kramer Junction, California. The combined output is 354 megawatts.

They're building a factory right there? Wow.

Well hey, if they scrap a bunch, that's why someone with a truck has to live nearby the factory, to pick up the big loads of cells that are to be scrapped. I think that's what Bryan's connection did, in order to get him those Evergreen cells. The companies toss them by the pallet full I guess, but if they find someone to load the cells up and get rid of them (on eBay in this case) without wasting any more of their time, then they give the go ahead.
