John Ericsson's Solar Engine
« on: July 22, 2005, 08:54:55 AM »
Hello everybody,

Recentaly I have come across a photograph of John Ericsson's Solar Engine. It seems that it is very efficient and useful. I am interested in detailed drawings of the same. Can anyone help? I would also like to know if anybody has made it and if so what are the results?

it seems to be a fairly conventional sterling engine.  Probably kind of expensive and problematic compared to a conventional panel with a battery/motor wired to it.  But very neat indeed.

A quick google search will bring up a good deal about him and his engine.

If I ever figure out what's in the box then maybe I can think outside of it.
