ISOFOTON SOLAR PANELS

has anyone any info on the old ISOFOTON PANELS .I HAVE TWO , EACH HAS TWO JUNCTION BOXES ON THE REAR ONE NEAR THE TOP AND THE SECOND NEAR THE BOTOM , INSIDE EVERY BOX THERE IS 3 CONECTIONS THE OUTER OF THE TWO CONECTIONS IS JOINED WITH WHAT LOOKS LIKE A DIOED .HOW DO I WIRE THEM AS 24 VOLT .

Please don't type in all capital letters, it equals SHOUTING on the internet and is hard to read.


First: put them in the sun and measure the output (DC) over two connections until you find the right ones. If the voltage is 12V, you put them in series, if it's 24V, you put them in parallel. To find the current, hook them up to a load (a heating element is nice) and measure the current.

Hey Casastead, I'd be interested in hearing more about your experience with Isofoton panels. I was considering buying some but finally elected to go with a different brand when I couldn't find any dealers or sales information. Keep us posted. --tom
