Home made PV tracker controller
« on: June 20, 2008, 10:40:52 PM »
I wrote a indepth post and it went to the land of the lost when posted. So here is a short version. If you read my past post you will know what I have been doing. Short my Red Rock died. My fault. A wire fell and hung up. So I made my on tracker controller. Thinking of what Old F told me in a pass post. Here is the wiring dia. I may have it a little wrong not sure. But it works very good. This is a low cost tracking controller that works. 2 relays and 1 1.5 watt panel.

Glad to see this! I just got a home-made tracking "tower" put up. It's in my diary, and I finally got some (crummy) pics! I still have to adjust it by hand using the old window controls inside, but at least I can now adjust 2 axis! Next will be seeing if I can, and have the stuff, to make a home-made auto-controller like this! I'd like to see more detail when you get a chance, or email me to talk about it if you prefer!

I see I left out the battery controller and it's wiring in the drawing. I had to put a diode in line to the relay. It was getting feed back from the batteries and it was not dropping out.
