Usefull battery pack or not, what do people think?

Hi,

I have found a battery pack for sale from surplus, unused, info on it here,

1EON

as far as i can tell it contains 4 x 12v 75 ah powersonic lead acid batteries, I don't think they are deep discharge but are specified for UPS so should be fairly resiliant.

i'm looking at using these on a relatively small system perhaps a 125w turbine and a small amount of solar max 50w, so are these worth my while?

I reakon I can pick them up for £100 (about $190) and it would give me 300 ah at 12v, should be plenty for that charge power, good value?

what do you reakon?

I would check on golf cart batteries first. You can probably get 4 of these for the same amount of money. About 400Ahrs and built to take more abuse. In the US Sams Club has them for $46. Shop around.

It is a real good deal for SLAs, at least in the States.  But do you plan on running them upside down?  I do not think they last as long for heavy use.

So I agree with Bonz.
