Don't forget that the pipe only needs to provide the
average current, not the peaks used for acceleration. Those peaks can still be provided by the batteries.
A car that does 4 miles to the kWh will need 15kW to do 60mph and 22.5kW to do 90mph. A hulking great SUV that does 2 miles to the kWh needs 30kW to do 60mph and 45kW to do 90mph.
A 3-phase 32A (eg CEEForm) receptacle delivers 23kW (30hp) at 240v and a 3-phase 63A receptacle delivers 45kW (59hp). Call it 25kVA and 50kVA.
I think my pipe will do OK.
