What fuses and cables for battery connection?
« on: February 05, 2008, 01:09:02 AM »
I did a search and nothing seemed to answer the simple question.

I bought some honking big cables at Murrays Auto. I'm connecting my 600W inverter to the battery and need a fuse for the + terminal.

I just need one fuse. Any suggestions on a single fuse block to connect between inverter and battery?

Also, the inverter says do not connect a surge suppressor. I was wondering why??  Obviously the fuse will protect it, but why not have a surge protector? :/

We cannot help unless you give us ALL the system information. We know 600 watts but without the system voltage we cannot help. Please repost with that information. Additional comments locked to encourage you to do that.
