homemade machine for welding poliethylene of high density

Hi to all,

Can anyone help with the following:

I'm in the process of putting a liner of hdpe in a small lake I have in my farm, but I'm having a really hard time trying to connect the several pieces of liner one to another. Does anyone know of some glue that can be used or in alternative a homemade welding system that works.
