Help picking a high flow medium head efficient pump.

Howdy folks!

I am planning out a pumped storage system.  I have everything I need except a water pump that can pump a large volume of water (20-50gpm) to a head of about 200ft without an insane amount of power input. This pump will be "recharging" the system in times of sunlight and wind.  It can be electric, belt driven, steam, pnumatic etc. However, efficiency is a serious factor here and the more gpm the better.

I was thinking about air lift pumps because they have no moving parts and don't have to be primed. However the efficiency of the air compressor is important with these and most air copressers are not worried about how much power they consume.

One last thing, this pump will transfer water from a lower open pond to a higher open pond.  No pressure tanks on either.

Anyone have any recomendations here?

Submerged multi-stage turbine pumps are used in wells for a good reason.
