Greetings, I searched the board and saw nothing, so my question to you fine folk is? Do Oatey "11830" 1 inch roof flashing last for the long haul or is it better to go with copper flashing for a 3/4 pipe solar hot water installation? The oateys are rated up to 180 degrees, but I am looking for someone with experience with them? I have used ALT Es coolie caps (all copper) in the past, but $8 for the oateys and $50 for the coolies is a big difference. Anyone have any luck making the oateys work long term? Thank in advance!
