Revolutions per minute
« on: September 24, 2005, 11:22:09 PM »
HI

I have a spinning wheel a tad over 2 metres in circumference, with the right stregnth and size magnets fitted inside and  with an air gap alternator, can some one give me an idea of power output in terms of AC voltage and wattage that could be achieved with a steady 2000 revotions per minute.

Could this energy be harnessed maybe into a bank of rechargable batteries.

Kind Regards

Phil

To define and amount of energy one needs three elements - time, speed and load.  You have given us two elements.

Even if we did know the torque of the item there would still be several factors needed to design a working generator and tell you what you need to know.

What color is it?
