Populists advocate and believe in the rights, wisdom,

and virtue of common people and certainly have a

place in a complex world. A question that needs some

deeper thought technically, though, here is, "What is

the difference in aerodynamic performance between

aviation wings enhanced with a slot (such as provided

by flaps, etc.) as opposed to biplane wings?"

The answer would seem to be that the narrower channel

has a lower Reynolds Number. Slot flows are more

readily deflected without stalling. When those big

jumbo jets are coming in for a landing and all flaps

are deployed it is a wonder how they can force all that

airflow into that steep angle downwards.

Here is an invention that needs to be made: a

Reynolds Number Meter that measures the Reynolds

Number without anyone having to guess what it is.

Just kidding.

AWEA-wind-home is a step into the wild and wooly

unknown of sophisticated technology and all those

who post notes on it are ambitious, even brazen.

Diary at best.
