Motorwind products
« on: December 08, 2008, 12:41:11 AM »
I met the originator of these products at an Earth Champions showcase display on Sunday 7th December 2008 at the Hong Kong Cyberport.

The lead into the wind section of his web site can be found at:-

Its rather interesting to observe that his web page does not appear to mention anything about the power producing capability of these mini wind turbines (not that I could see anyway).

Has anyone ever purchased this type of kit,and if so,how does it perform?

The gentleman was rather kind to point out to me the minor shortcomings of a Hugh Piggott 2.4 metre wind turbine that I had on display.

It would be quite interesting to peruse readers comments about this form of power producing equipment.

it seems like quite a bad way to convert energy in the wind into something usable in an efficient / cost effective way.  One of the worst I've seen.  so bad.. (in my opinion) Ill probably delete this whole post in the morning (no offense) unless somebody else beats me to it!  It has so many problems I won't even start....

If I ever figure out what's in the box then maybe I can think outside of it.

Dan;

I second that! We need a stated policy on posting these type links. Mine would be "Just say NO!"
