We'd need more info on your turbine; for a start:-
output amps/watts?
and/or make, type?

I think you'll be wasting your money buying a GTI for that setup

you'll be lucky to get it turning fast enough to trickle charge a single 100Ah 12v battery

Umm, a 300 watt gti sounds like one of those illegal ebay pieces of junk, those are not approved by anybody and if the utility catches you chances are they will disconnect you completely.

What do you prefer that is approved and legal fabricator.Everyone on youtube is running the same inverter that I might purchase.

If you want to grid tie legally you are gonna have to go with one of the big names, and with the motor you have there it just aint worth it, you'll never make enough energy to pay the monthly connect charge let alone ever see a return on investment in the inverter.
Your utility has a list of requirements as long as your arm you have to comply with before you can connect.

Agreed about the GTI.

But the motor is OK.
12V cut-in would be less than 300RPM.
Depending on who you ask, and how they did it, should be able to get 100W out of it pretty easy, maybe over 200W.

''pretty easy'' ?

I have an almost identical spec motor that's been screaming around outside here for a good while now, it's fully data logged and has produced just short of 200 watts peak

what's your best guess as to what wind speed, number of blades and their length that's needed to get 100 watts out of it ?

You just said what I said.

Everthing else "depends on who you ask", and the exact motor, and if they rated it at stall or unloaded or full load output or......?

Thats a pretty generic type motor.
"almost identical spec motor" does not mean much, or means nothing relavent.
Identical spec motors, from different manufacturers, can act very very different.

Given a non-calculator, just plain old guess, and the same specs, 3 blades, ~4.5' dia, about 5TSR.
Whats on yours?
