« on: November 02, 2008, 07:38:42 PM »
Oh, yes it's from china, it seams to work, no meters on it yet (soon), had to delay putting it up for 4 to 5 days it was to windy, after I got it up it died to nothing for 2 day, what a bummer. Just getting started with all the rest of it, I have 14 days off work so I can get it worked out.

Current system

  1. VDC 60 Watt solar
  2. VDC 775 Watt Ginny (I think they have a different Watt over there)
  3. VDC 3000 Watt Sine Inverter
  4. to 1 crossover switch
  5. VDC 245APH Batt (soon More, need badly)

Full weather station with Internet feed

Next Gen system

Bigger and better and made with my own hands, (NOT IN CHINA)

Full data tracking

This stuff is fun!

Pic's under my photo's, still can't get them attached, some help here would be nice?

I have seen 2 like  these and they both have burnt out their control unit in high winds ...safer to shut it down in a gale I would think

A gale, the only gail here lives up the street, the best I might see in a storm is about 45.

Congratulations, Hami!!

It's the thought that counts.

A much better way to spend your time than sitting in a bar

(pub), throwing your money away.

To post pictures in your story----

On the right side of the page, when you are posting,

you will see the box labeled Menu.

Directly under that is a box labeled User Files.

That is where you select the image you want from

the pictures you have already uploaded , then click

Insert Image.

You will probably have to scroll up to find the

box named User Files when you are typing your story.

"It's the thought that counts."

I love it, when my electric bill went to 350+USD I decided to do some thing about, my decision was to go green. The best and most cost effective way was a Wind Ginny, but with no experience I elected to buy one so to understand them a bit better, this EXPERIENCE, and the reading of the website has given me a incite into what I must do next! And of course what not to do!

I can see you have never sat in a TJ Night Club?

Currently I getting my shop setup for working on Ginnies, just got my Smithy 1324 in, setting it up now, scope, meters, data logger, and more. Just need to get some consumables in and I can start building. Fun times ahead!

Ref: I can see you have never sat in a TJ Night Club?

WRONG ANSWER!!!!!

I have!! Also crawled through Juarez. We can add Munich, Germany,

Saigon, Viet Nam, and at least a half dozen other large cities.

And other than a headache and a few scars, I have nothing to show

for the time or money, not to mention the blood shed.

The money spent in one night in Juarez would buy all the magnets

and wire for a 10 foot generator. (it was a loooong night!!)

Been there done that, not to the range of places you have, and maybe I'm a bit more frugal. I don't drink much. Most people don't fuss with me because of my size and if they do they get a nasty surprise because of my training.

Hey

I can use some help on building my shop question under Newbies, I'm trying to get it together and want to know what toys/supplies are needed to out fit it correctly?

Thanks

I don't drink at all now. All that stuff was a lifetime ago.

Uncle Sam's Army sent me all over the place, so I got to see

a lot of the world. And I didn't always think the way I think now.

Thanks for the comment on the sawmill. I used it to cut all the

framing lumber for our house. 24 feet by 32 feet. I'll try to

get a picture posted in the next day or so.
