I found this on a website from Mick Sagrillo.  He told me that this article is over 20 years old.  Does anyone know anything about this particular article from Norbert Klemp?

Building 3-Phase Alternators From 3-Phase AC Motors, copyright 1977 by Norbert Klemp. Seven intense pages of data describing how to rewind an ordinary 3-phase motor into a permanent magnet, direct-drive, slow speed alternator for wind applications. Available for $15, postpaid, from Norb Klemp, 4806 W. Cedar Creek Rd., Grafton, WI, 53024.

Here is a link to the article

Not that I have read it, but I'll stay with "Zubbly #1, 2 and 3".

The 1977 date makes me wonder how relevent the information is with the good cheap neos availiable now.

They say it is 'Advanced', and they say that means "with the bugs are worked out of them'.  In 7 pages?  (I could think up 7 pages of questions lol)

"Zubbly #1, 2 and 3" are free (so whats a couple $), but the author, Mr. Zubbly, will answer questions quick and friendly (even my silly ones).

And that's included in his purchase price!

Thanks Ghurd,

Still never hurts to read, read, and read somemore!  I'm not trying to take any credit away from zubbly, he obviously has the most experience with motors, and he is very helpful.  When I start my project I will be following his 1,2 & 3...step by step!

I would still like to read about anyone else that is or has converted a motor, even if it is 30 years ago.

ghurd;

The "Zubbly Papers" can be gotten here for no charge and some download time:

We get him to pop into IRC almost daily, too where he will gladly answer questions in real time but catching him is hit or miss.

Cheers.

"The Zubbly Papers"

Sounds like something from a spy novel!

Once we had him on IRC we brain washed him into thinking he could make his own power and now he does .

Its a subversive plot to undermine the grip of Big Energy on common folks thru progressive use of live chat and forums on the InterNet.

Fairly successful so far too.

Cheers.

Now just get him to pay us for reading "The Zubbly Papers".

I could pay off my house with back royalties.

And maybe get him to send me a couple cans of that 'patented flux increaser' spray stuff.
