Just seen this on the BBC News.
Ecotricity, a UK 'green' electricity supplier are constructing a 70m turbine with the capability of 2MW output, and is said to be 'Britain's most visable wind turbine.'

I'm not too sure of the safety aspect of the location tho... close to one of the UK busiest motorways and Reading's football stadium.

even the tyre manufacturer Michelin are getting in on the act to reduce their grid demands (& 7000 tonnes co2 emmissions/year)
Ecotricity also supply electricity to homes, via the grid, promising to match local suppliers' prices... and invest profits back to developing and building wind turbines.
