blade with galv tubing
« on: December 16, 2005, 08:04:19 AM »
Hola!

I would like to have informatione about the "one hour project blades"

its the blades made from tubing and shrink material,

i made blades from a 3/4"emtx60"l(0.930"x0.50thick) galvanised pipe and put a rod of 5" at top and 10" at the bottom, after, i will screw or glue with fiberglass or lexan with a degre of 15° to make the propeller (1lbs)

Do you know if it gonna turn? each blade have 15edg and total weight of 3.8 lbs, i hope to turn at 200-250 rpm with wind of 20-30 km/h

Thank you and if you have suggestions or some dimensions to suggest ,it will appreciated!

i came from Montreal so excuse my english!

Thank you!

Hello. Don't worry too much about bad english, we don't do too well either:-))

I think it would help if you were to post some pictures of your current blades and what type of mill you wish to use these on. This way a larger number of people can offer their best help.

Also, a small thought on what you're plans are for the power you're trying for.

Merci' Becou (all I know)
