Laminated blade material

I'm not a fan of HomeDepot quality but I see in Regina Canada they are selling laminated planks used for scaffolding for $34.00.They look to be a full 2 by 10 by 14 ft. and made from spruce.

I am also looking at using laminated planks for blades but I need it 4" by 10" by 8 ft. Would that work to epoxy two of these planks together to make a 4" by 10" or wouldn't it be strong enough?

I don't claim to be an electrical engineer. I just know enough to keep from getting electrocuted.

Really? I have been laminating my own (Spruce too) now for about a month, and still glueing. I wonder if HomeDepot in my area is carrying those planks too, I will have to check and see. That would have saved me a lot of glueing and clamping time.

I was actually in to Home Depot yesterday and got to check out those laminated staging planks. They weren't what I expected, someone had ordered some in and didn't want them. They were warped a bit and made up of some pretty short pieces laminated together. After seeing them, I am glad I went the route I am going.
