Hi barn,

May I recommend reading the info in the listing?  They clearly say it is a 300W grid-tie inverter.

I have no idea where you obtained the 400W figure.

He might have meant in the yellow and blue specs chart,

Rated power 300watt (line 1)

Max power 400watt (line 2)

My question is at the second line from bottom of the chart.

Sine Inverter power output   AC 110/220V, 50HZ/60HZ

I wonder if it works on USA grid power then, being a UK listing I was figuring it would not. I wonder what else they have?

http://www.navitron.org.uk/grid-tie.htm

and also www.swea.nl (Dutch manufacturer)110V 60Hz available soon?

It is a 250 Watt maximum inverter which can be banked up to 4 units making 1KW with the addition of some control box "Do not know the price of that yet"

Navitron have been testing two of these units banked with thier own 500W genie.

But at least this allows the small user to start producing power at a more affordable price and then expand. The cheapest inverter I have found til now is the Top Class Spark at £871.87 at www.eubnet.de

LOL yes i was looking at the box at the bottom, 300 watts is somewhat limited for the price (£754.125 total after vat etc)

esp when rumour has it that the windsave system (http://www.windsave.com/) might be reducing in price to £1000 from december and thats for a potential max of 1000 watts grid tie. (with the possiblity of a grant if enough power produced)

well its just me but i am waiting till its £1 a Watt.

thanks

You are right of course about the price being high.

The problem with appling for the grant is that the installation must be carried out by a registered company and the last time I looked they all wanted about £1,500 to do this. (What a rip off)
