After the conversion is done, if I haven't altered the coils, how's it supposed to be wired?
For example, the motor I'm working over right now has 11 wires. 4 come out the back and are connected to each other with spades. Out the front are two brown wires for a capacitor. Then there's a ground. Then a steady feed (white), and high/med/low wires (black, blue, yellow). When I hook this up to supply juice, which wires do I use as feed? What about a capacitor?
Also, will rpm be effected? I'm installing close to 3 cubic inches of neodymium magnet in this 6-pole, 1/2 hp motor. It's rated at 115v/1075rpm.
I like simple answers from people who know, but I would like to find some "in depth" reading amterial that covers the differences in using the staged speed wires and what the four wires sticking out the back might be for...
Thanks in advance.
