Finished genny finally flies
« on: October 30, 2006, 08:24:06 PM »
It took a while but I finished my 15' 24v genny and got it mounted at 150' level on the weekend. It was very windy and took two attempts to raise it with a gin pole but the sweetest sound was the thunk when it seated itself on the stub.

I don't have a load controller, nor have my fuses arrived so this is not hooked up to the battery. It is in the lockdown mode with three phases shorted and it still turns slowly. I took a chance and released the switch and the blades took off like a chopper. Impressive and scary. Have lots of pictures but will send them later.

On cloud nine and thanks for all the informative posts!

If I ever figure out what's in the box then maybe I can think outside of it.
