I went with my daughter to the zoo today and outside the gate was a piece of art that reminded me of your torkmaster, and made me think you may be able to use what I saw. instead of just having the "shells" mounted at the center this one had a ring around the outside edge, I dont know if this is of any use to you but I wanted to share it with you anyhow.
