You could check out Hugh Piggott's site.

Folks;

Maybe we need to do some organizing and set up a seminar group. Lots of talent here and coordinating something that works for most interested members might be tricky.

A good idea to think over.

Cheers.

There should be a couple of good ones this spring up on Guemes Island in WA state.  It's put on by SEI (Solar Energy international).  There are two courses, one on wind power in general which will probably be about half classroom and half hands on (probably a machine will be installed by students) and the 2nd one is by Hugh Piggott - How to build a Wind Turbine.  Should be lots of fun...

If I ever figure out what's in the box then maybe I can think outside of it.

Dan;

Good info Dan. They certainly seem to do a good seminar. Problem is that location is a long way from most of the U.S. and seemed a bit pricey for most of us.

I am hoping for something more central and not      >1000 miles to drive. Say Kansas, Nebraska or the Dakotas would be more central to most of the U.S..

Just thinking out loud.

Cheers.

Hi Tomw

 I agree a central location would be nice.

Somewhere around Omaha Nebraska maybe.

Along way from Louisiana, but closer than Washington.

Wind mill class-

That would be a great idea !

Something low-key not tied into any other international or domestic R.E., or "save the planet"

stuff.

Just people wanting to learn and willing to work,

On "Wind Generators", some solar "PV" with some Hydro would also be of interest to most I'd think.

"be more central to most of the U.S."

Thats an easy one,

Colorado!

Hey Dan, how much pizza should we wach bring???????????

LOL

Yeah, that would work. I hear they have a new visitors and R&D center up there, too. Be a good use for it.

Sounds like I just invited myself to Fort Collins.

I could probably find a porker to roast on a spit. Oops, family history says thats why we got the boot from Ireland long ago.

Cheers.

TomW-

"find a"

To stay out of trouble I'm thinking that you should use only the front bumper to

"find a", critter of some sort along the way,

Heck ya can't just leave it laying in the road,(or close to),thats a hazzord to other people I'd think.

So being the nice guy ya are, you'd just have to get it out of the way ya know.

LOL

;)

For real I'd like to make it over to colorado some time but getting past the divide is just hard for me to do, (knowing as I do that it's the "wrong" side of the divide),lol
