My blades for 18' - Resource available to all
« on: February 20, 2007, 09:04:25 AM »
My friend Dave has completed his blade carving machine of his own design. He is currently able to carve the Gottingen 222 blade profile shown in the photos from laminated 6 1/4" x 2" blanks up to a 12' diameter single blade or 8' single blades for 16' diameter multi blade designs. (inquire for custom setups for longer lengths). The Gottigen 222 profile is a direct replacement for Wincharger Models but it's proven design should provide very well to the home brew enthusiast not wishing to carve their own blades also. My 9' blades shown will be be turning my dual rotor 3 phase alternator (1 rotor and completed stator shown) to preheat water or to provide some radiant heat. Contact Dave's e-mail at Royalwdg@netsync.net for more information. My project updates to follow.  Dave B.

Sorry the photos look a little wavey. The contour and surface of these milled blades are very straight and smooth.  Dave B.

Dave:

Does your friend Dave can CNC blades with Twist ?.

The photos do look good and a place to consider for those that can not do their own blades.

Your "equipment" is coming along quite well, indeed !!

Thanks for the replies. Dave is currently set up to provide this Gottingen 222 straight profile, no taper no twist as original replacement for the earlier Wincharger models. He can provide different lengths, root dimensions and I am certain change the  pitch per specific requests to match alternator designs from all of us out here building our own. My blades shown are laminated Poplar and at 9' weigh approx. 13 lbs each, these can be milled from your material requested. Check with Dave at Royalwdg@netsync.net for specifics on pricing etc. These are beautiful blades with a profile of proven performance. A note to Admin : this will be added to classifieds if allowed OK. Thank you, Dave B.

What a nice looking stator! The blades look awesome too. Make sure you post the results of the finished project. I would like to read about it, and see more pictures too. Keep up the good work.
