Came on this in my virtual wanderings I didn't think it was possible to clone these things, biology has come along way

The PMG's used on those machines are Chinese in origin (Ginlong) and appear sound in design terms, the alluninium blades are, as always open to personal preference, and probably open to comment here.

Has the TLG design been tested over a period of time? (maybe 5 years) in harsh conditions, that would be my first question before purchase.

Nothing against what he (Terry) is doing, he's certainly keen to help, thats the impression I get from across the pond.

To add.

I don't see any kind of furling mechanism in the design whatsoever, this would be a serious concern to me.

A DIY Hugh Piggott/ The Dans design would be better, or if you have the money

I'd buy a Bergey XL1 - superb IMHO.

I check out the Ginlong website, and the numbers are impressive.  Anyone have a cost on these?  That's what I want my house to look like :)
