OLD F and scooter
« on: April 09, 2010, 01:38:41 PM »
OLD F;
   Now that we have this nice place of transportation. I thought I'd check in to see how the Tomos is coming along?
Our Roketa 150cc took a small turn for the worse, needed to replace the carb after 3k miles on her.
Carb went bad from cheap parts.

Newest Blue one currently has 2k and running like a dream.

I decided to bite the bullet and begin using E25 using the alky I make to mix to see how well they hold up.
How's the silver one holding up?

Cheers;

Thanks for the update :). The 250s are looking pretty good. Looked at a used tank 250- water cooled but could not justify sending as much for used as new one.
The newer ones have the larger 16 inch rims too so much less pothole bounce.

Is your mileage still up in the 80S?

Cheers

Well Bruce

The Tomos Now has 3000 mile on it and is getting 80 mpg and all I have had to with it is change oil and a valve adjustment

The Grand vista or a its know as the Grant Dink out side the US will get 72mpg if I am a good boy and keep my hand out of the throttle  ;)

If your looking for part and info on care and feeding of low cost scooters check out  http://scootdawg.proboards.com/index.cgi

I have been doing a lot of parking lot practice  I am a hard core cone monkey ;D  I have got the figure eight down in a 16 by 40ft box and have been scraping the center stand    ;D
