AFM hybrid air cored, dual toroid coil small altenator

Hello wiring wizzards,

I've a '72 Norton Commando m/cycle that a stuck throttle destroyed its RFM altneator

d/t the crank whip fracturing the sator's resin encasement. She'll arise again with

a hp/torque Doubling snail type supercharger but its wider belt drive takies up width

for a stock altn replacemen, which was too weak at idle ~1000 rpm's anyway.  This

m/c has given me almost a doctorate level understanding of basic mechanics and

electrics , in vintage Lucas Prince of Darkness, "+positive earth"  polartiy flavor.

I seek handholding to create a AFM disc altn, ONE inch thick x 5.25" OD, to carry

a 2.5 ah 12 v battery and ~75+ watt ignition and light load at ~1000 rpm.  My

concept is 1/4" thick rotor with  disc or rectangle neo magnets, all N or S

on each rotor face. Spin it betwix two toroid coils, each wound as one long spiral

in wire sized more for current/amps than voltage/potential.  Temperatures will be

under 100'C and max rpm ~8000. Toroid cores may be up to 2" rim, with ~1" hole

for C-shaft. Coils must be only ~3/8" thick each so essentially flat thin washer like

plate 5.25" OD x 2" wide x 1/8" thick, essential big flat washer like cores.

  1. Do you Think one could even get 6+V per stator side at ~1000?
  2. Disc or block shaped neo magnets?
  3. Close set mag's or leave extra space between?
  4. Ferric/steel or aluminum/non ferric, or even Mu/met glass alloy as rotor?
  5. Flush mount mag's in rotor or have them stand proud some?
  6. Slots or no slots betwix mag's/rotor?
  7. a Wire it as AC machine to complicate my lessons but allow results?
  8. Simple sprial wrap of single or more layers of wire on toroids?
  9. Multiple shorter sections of simple wrapped torid coils for plused DC??
  10. a  Would smaller parelleled coil wires be better for space and output?
  11. Use an Air core-insulator or laminate wound core, [how to mechanicaly stablziie?]
  12. Would far sides of thin air core toroid coils see useful flux level to participate?

OR

11. Hybrid air coil of two sided circuit borad with sprials of conductors to

tap eddie currents off rim and shaft as Tesla did on his improvement of Faraday's

eddie dynamo, except stationary mechanically in this case? OR

  1. a  Would this allow a way to regulate power coils output as rpms rise?
  2. b Would this spiral coil just get in way of flux to power coils or just heat up?
  3. Ideas on how to regulate other than boiling off battery water, I run gel cell

so might explode.

PS. I built a 10.5 Kw disel genset on 5 ton military gen trailer with 1700 Ah 24 V bank,

and dual Trace inverters for 36 amp/240 output, water bed heater in bat box. So kinda

handy on this sorta stuff but not an expert even if portaable Y2K ready.
