Back EMF question

(1/2) > >>

(unknown):
Does anyone know if IN914 diodes will block back EMF?

Also, do they need to be on both the positive and negative side of a 12 volt DC circuit.
Thanks!

Chiron:
They only need to be on one side but the 914s will only handle an Amp (max) of forward current.

Thanks!

drdongle:
I suggest diodes fron the 1N400x family there very common, cheep and very robust, I have a drawer full of the 1n4007's which are one amp 1KV that I use for everything.

Thanks for the info!
