dc/dc converter connection
« on: June 08, 2005, 06:12:53 PM »
Can anyone answer this question. I have 4 dc voltage regulators. Output 14vdc. If I connect all 4 outputs in series will I get 56vdc without a change in the amps.

Thanks

Only if the output is isolated from the input. Otherwise it will go "bang".

Or to elaborate each regulator must have it's own individual power source, for example 5 regulators could use 5 individual 18 volt batteries. Not a very efficient way to get what you need.

If you will explain what you trying to accomplish we can make suggestions for something that will work better for you........
