Charge Controller ?
« on: October 25, 2005, 09:02:46 PM »
Can you set up two or more charge controllers in parallel to handle more current?

Currently I'm using a C40 which is rated for 40 amps but will take occasional 80 amp spikes. I'm looking to upgrade to a higher capacity controller but it appears there is limited availability.

Anybody have any experience with this?

Thanks,

Hank

Hello,

For my side, i can respond yes to this question.

I use 3 homemade charge controler to handle the overpower of my genny.

I have set each of them to start the diversion at different voltage.

I would say also YES, but it would me more a matter of adjusting your voltage for both of the controllers, otherwise one controller would cancel out the other one.
