I have an 'E-flite' DC power meter, which also doubles as a self-powered digital voltmeter!

The "Kill A Watt" also doesn't like the MSW inverters. I tried it in my camper, with a 1000 Watt "Galaxy" brand MSW Inverter. The CO detector didn't show anything, and the microwave, rated 1050 Watts, showed up as a 600 watt load. I didn't try anything else.

ermm think trying to check the power a microwave oven draws would be quite difficult whatever method you used. it is almost a msw inverter on its own. i have had the same problem with a cheap watt hour meter as well.

cheers
