computer psu's

I have several. I mean several psu from some computers and network servers. I was wondering if there is a way I could use them with my windmills. Ie: voltage regs. or something . I have googled the site but can't find anthing indepth about them. any hints out here.

There are less things you can do with these on a wind system.  Trouble is, if you have to ask they probably aren't that useful.  I take all the old power supplies I can get, but have no use for a three phase motor. I'll never do a conversion.  There are so many power supply versions that there can't be step by step project instructions.  I find them very useful for the transformers and the switching chips like the TL494.  All the designs are limited to a realistic power of about 150W.  I'm a firm believer is distributed systems and find it preferable to use multiple 150W regulators on a couple panels each of a solar system.  


I like buying 12V inverters that need repair.  These are cheap and quite useful for other applications.  Surprised I haven't seen projects here with interesting applications.
