Stirling electric generator I built
« on: April 27, 2010, 06:50:10 PM »
Heres a little Stirling generator that I built as part of quest to build a 1W Stirling generator.
It's made out of coke cans and a balloon. The cranks are copper with electric terminal blocks as
bushings. I made the displacer from steel wire wool which acts as a regenerator too.

It only makes about 30mw and a lot of noise! As a comparison my peltier generator will power the same radio
with only 1 candle whereas the stirling generator takes three.

Heres a video of it all working : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_-hxyTzFtY
