Battery Pack Configuration and Wiring
« on: September 11, 2022, 09:38:53 PM »
A good explainer video about battery pack connection and protection.
They're using Lithium packs, so you can also get an introduction to these kinds of batteries too.

Will Prowse: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXBT8lSC25M

Nitpicks:
At 7:30 he points out a "circuit breaker" which is actually an isolator switch.
And the feeder cables to his inverters seem to be undersized.
At 14:00 he misses the fact that batteries with internal BMS (like the ones he has on the floor) and others with an external one (like the ones on his shelf) should not be mixed in parallel.

Still very worth watching.
No one believes the theory except the one who developed it. Everyone believes the experiment except the one who ran it.
