VAWT new proto-type
GoVertical:
recent test results, stock F&P with 1 to 2.5 timing belt drive. Spring on pulley shaft allowed belt teeth to jump cogs on pulley. I removed the springs and I am waiting for wind to test again. I was able to repair VAWT crash.

From what I can see, it looks like you had an anchor failure?

Hi, yes the test foundation was weak, the board snapped and the VAWT came crashing down. I was watching it from inside, one moment it was fine I turned around and it was gone. :o This project is a learning experience.
All fixed now and waiting for wind. :)

I know your pain :(! happens to me when testing new dump load controller settings and NiCd battery banks. :-(.
