That's unfortunate Tom. Every DC Jacobs turbine that I know of that are and were running (including mine) are wired as forum member Jacobs and I suggested produced at rated or higher output.

Kevin,

We did wire it to that option and it made no difference in output.  I believe I'm seeing max output, after losses from 250' of wire noted by Dan G. earlier, of about the capacity of the turbine.  I don't think anything will help from where I'm at now short of a huge investment in larger wire (not going to happen).  This last rewire of the heating elements is probably the best I'm going to get (1,100 to 1,200 watts at the elements).
