watt hour calculating
« on: November 13, 2010, 06:19:54 AM »
Sorry I've tried the search button, I'm sure I didn't use the right terms.

I'm trying to figure how much storage capacity & how much generation I need. Is there a calculating sheet & perhaps some real world tips.

Thanks

First move the cart to behind the horse, then work out how much power in Kwh's you use per day. Many renewable energy retailers have calculation sheets on their sites. http://www.rpc.com.au/products/services/examples.html

Second where are you, goes to what sort of renewable energy you will need ie wind solar hydro.

All of the above play a large part in your system.

I'm in Tennessee & I'm going to be using solar with possibly some wind (I know this would be a good addition in the winter especially).

I'm figuring I'm going to start with a minimal system for emergency purposes that I can expand on later as money permits me to. Maybe 2-15 amp circuits?

Take the time to read as much as you are able on the link I gave you, it may answer your questions there are even examples of systems.
