Thanks Ghurd!
« on: February 22, 2011, 05:30:50 AM »
Thanks for a nice controller!

Here's what I'm doing with them:

I use it to cut on/off a solid state relay which is connected to the AC side on the inverter, my littler experiment proves it gets enough power to a smaller water heater for "preheating water"....many folks help me on this one... again thanks to everyone!

Yesterday we had some good winds and  the 17 footer was doing a swell job heating water. Butwith the current setup  I could not dump enough power on the AC side of things to keep up.....So I kept the DC dump in place too, so before my inverter could kick out due to over voltage; the bank of resistors ( set a bit higher for dumping) on the DC side would drop the power down, just before it could kick out.

I think I will keep both systems in place.

Glen I really need a timer on that AC side relay, something as fool proof as your controller ;D

Soon.  I hope.
The last 2 batchs of V3.0 prototypes all work.
One more batch with 0 defects, and I'll call it done.

Ghurd - Do you sell the controllers put together?  I don't know anything about solding those pieces together.

I am freshly starting a ceiling fan turbine.  Learning as I go.  But I've been looking at charge controllers and since you have a lot of recommendations, I'm interested, but still don't know how to put all the pieces together.

Thank you

Cwherbs,
I often have the circuits assembled, calibrated, and in a plastic box.

The nature of the circuit requires some things to be done by the user.  It would be basic wiring to suit the situation.

PM or email me for more info.
