TIG on a crystal

A crystal of what? lots of things can have a crystal structure.

Quartz and lead to name two.

Its Flourite. Also known as rainbow Quartz.

I know that if I try to put a ark on it, I would have to heat the whole thing with a butane torch, so that would help with thermal shock caused by the ark.

I just measured ohm's its OL  between grounding plain and ark zone, dont see the point of going any farther.

It might be more interesting to hit it with a high power laser, just make sure you have the correct goggles on, because if the laser hits a fault or flaw in the structure you might get the beam back at any angle. Also does it flouresc under UV. Lots things you could do with it. does it have a resonant frequency.

There was something I considered was impedance its a dynamic measurement. and I can hit it with AC setting on my TIG welder that I use for welding aluminium.
 
 The crystal that I have been working with has no faults. but I have one that does its 4 in dia

It just hit me, I am a ASE L1 Master tech. We use UV dye to check for refrigerant leaks. I actually have a UV lamp its 12volt and is bright as hell and can only be on intermittently because it overheats.

It does not florescence (the crystal)
