May workshop at the MREA
« on: March 22, 2011, 09:25:00 AM »
For anybody interested in what should be quite a fun week, MREA has asked us to teach a workshop for them again starting May 9 - May 14.  It'll happen at the 'northwind' shop in Stevens Point Wisconsin, a couple miles from the MREA facility.  Stevens point is a wonderful place.  In the past this has always been one of my favorite places to go... not only for the town, and the diverse culture, but it's at MREA and we find ourselves surrounded by lots of other interesting small wind people.  These workshops are lots of fun, but to make it a 'go' they need a couple more folks to sign up.  If spending a week, in a shop with tools and like minded people sounds like fun, this might be a fun vacation for you!

This is the MREA website:  https://www.midwestrenew.org/civicrm/event/info?id=108&reset=1

Here is a page about last years workshop (this year I expect we'll have better tools and we won't be in a tent though!):

If I ever figure out what's in the box then maybe I can think outside of it.

While we are talking about workshops in May I need to mention that there is also one here on Scoraig (Scotland) the week after that.  It's probably the best location that I teach courses because there are homebrew turbines everywhere.  In fact we take one day off in the middle to tour them, so it's a six day course: Sunday to Friday.

There's a video of last year's workshop here:

And a calendar of my workshops this year here:

I am doing less of them than in previous years so I have more time for other kinds of fun stuff.
