Here is a walk around of the cooled seat and it's wiring.  240+ CFM 120mm fan, 2 gpm water pump, 3/8" I.D. rubber and aluminum tubing, ~130-160 watts power consumption, 40mm TEC.  Seat temp with a person should be ~ 67-68 F, but can be as low as 60-63 F.

System was running at 12.4 volts with two 2200 mah A123 packs.

This will be a huge improvement in the comfort level.  The air circulation will be nice since the car is relatively air tight.

Total system weight is about 5 lbs.  Completely removable in seconds.

How much current does that fan draw? LOL

I did some experimentation with my setup and found that provided the current requirements of the fan are not too high, efficiency is measurably better than letting the Peltier warm up at all.

My 120mm runs at 3.16A (rated and confirmed), and wouldn't make it worthwhile.

Your mileage varies? ;)

4.8 amps.  It is a beast.

Can't help but wonder if in the interest of AH consumption from such small batteries if it wouldn't be worth throttling that thing back just a touch... !  :o
