« on: April 25, 2011, 11:18:55 AM »
Pre REA Jacobs DC Generator. Classic slow spinning heavy weight.

Rotor and field freshly re-wound for 48 VDC from the original 32 VDC. This is not a complete machine. Have most parts except the governor.

Includes Sitka Spruce blades painted with automotive paint, slip rings/brushes, lower/upper bearing, post/saddle, tail vane, lots of other extra parts. The blades are bored for a blade actuated governor, could sleeve the bore and use them on a flyball governor.

$1500

Located west of Denver, will not ship.

Someone make me offer, I'm about to take the generator to a scrap yard while scrap copper is still high.

Don't scrap it. You only get about $3 per pound for clean copper. I would pay twice the copper value for it but I cannot come get it. (2000 mile round trip).

You might try donating it to a local Tech-school. You could then take the fair-market value as a tax right off :-)
