Battery heat sensor

i would pick one of the center cells, and connect to the negative terminal if possible.

I think I have four of those darn things now. MX60, Classic, C40 and C60. I just shove them all down in between batteries, somewhere in the middle. I like to rotate batteries every few years to move the end cells to the middle and that would be a real pain with the sensors glued to batteries.

I used a hose clamp to connect my sensor (lm34 in a brass tube) to my battery post, then wrapped it with insulation.

Since I just read this, may I ask on what type of battery are you measuring the temperature, and why are you doing it?  What information, or benefit from the temperature information re you trying to gain or obtain?

My question may sound foolish, but there are a variety of reasons for wanting to know battery temperature.
